This painting is influenced by Willem De Kooning’s later work. The yellow dots on the white background disappear when seen from a distance and in a dim light. This whimsy and mischief suggested the title, The Elf Garden, to me.

This is a kind of social commentary painting, in which the individual becomes a mirror of his or her smartphone and has trouble communicating with others in a human way.
“A Red Yummy Yam” 11″ x 14″ 2026
This painting originally featured a simple middle figure surrounded by squares. I then painted the central figure red, and at that time the idea of a red yam for the title came to me. The black lines are influenced by the later oil paintings of Georges Rouault.
“Dream Circulated In Motions And E-motions” 24″ x 30″ 2026
This painting had its genesis in earlier times, but viewing Roberto Matta’s later paintings motivated me to revise it to add more forms and lines and thus create more interest.
